God Is Light

Sundial

I John 1:5

God is light and in him is no darkness at all.  Light is God's power that is moving and accomplishing his will.  It is revelation knowledge on the spiritual side and action carried out on the natural side.  God is good. (Mark 10:18James 1:17 says, Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.  Only at high noon when the sun is directely overhead, there is no shadow on the sundial.  Any shadow of turning on our part hinders the flow of light in our lives.

Light is a result of good.  Revelation comes from knowing the inside of a thing - from the inside outward, not just looking with the natural eyes, but looking first with the spiritual eyes then outward to the natural.  Light comes from knowing the spiritual of a thing.  You speak from knowing not from hearing.  This is called hearsay.  Saying God is light is saying that God is revelation.  Revelation has power connected to it because it is from the core of a thing.  God spoke and said, Let there be light.  The Spirit of God knows the deep things of God - Revelation.  God spoke revelation and the power of revelation words created.

God is light and in him is no darkness at all.  We know that God and his Word are one.  God never changes, therefore, his Word never changes.   What the Word created and made in the beginning is still in existence and is doing exactly what God commanded it to do with his spoken Word.  The sun still rules the day.  The moon still rules the night, etc.  What God set in motion with the Word of his power is good for all.  The only one who can change what God set in motion with his word is God.

Jesus Christ is our example of Light in the world.  Hebrews 1:3 tells us that Jesus Christ is the brightness of God's glory, and the express image of his person.  He upholds all things by the word of his power.    All things were made by him.  In him was life; and the life was the light of men. (John 1:3-4)  Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day and for ever. (Hebrews 13:8)

In Christ Jesus, our spirits have been made brand new in the image of God.  We have the nature of God and the mind of Christ.  As we said, revelation has power connected to it because it is from the core of a thing.  As we seek God through prayer with our minds focused only on him, we receive revelation from the Holy Spirit.  With this scriptural revelation of the deep things of God, we are to let our lights so shine before men that they may see our good works and glorify our Father in heaven. (Matthew 5:16)  Agree with the truth of God's word and then by power and demonstration allow it to quicken and change the situation or circumstance by speaking it into the earth by faith.(I Corinthians 2:4

Matthew 6:22 says the light of the body is the eye.  The word body represents your spirit, soul and body.  In Jesus Christ, your spirit is already full of light.  We read or hear the word of God with our mental eye.  Just as we can mentally see an apple or an orange without holding one, we can see the words someone is reading to us.  Light (revelation) comes when we allow the Holy Spirit to teach us the meaning of the scriptures.  Because of our desire to look deeper into the word spiritually, the Holy Spirit will teach us and show us the truth of God's word.  As we believe and receive the truth of the word, the light of the power of revelation frees us to think, speak and act on the word in faith.

As long as we continuously think, speak and act on the word only (or phrases that line up with the word), our whole body is full of light.  The glory of God (God's anointing) flows through us as we carry out the will of God in earth as it is in heaven.  Mark 9:23 tells us that if we can believe, all things are possible.

Believing and speaking the word only gives no place to fear and doubt.  Fear and doubt cause darkness (unbelief) to enter in your mind and stops the flow of the anointing.  Matthew 6:23 says, But if thine eye be evil, thy whole body shall be full of darkness.  Mark 6:5-6 and          Luke 8:40-42, 49-55 give us examples of how fear and unbelief hinder the flow of the anointing, while continuing to believe allows the anointing to flow giving us what we have spoken in faith.

God's time of blessing is now.  Just as God is light and in him is no darkness at all, be light allowing no darkness in you at all.
